Caption Styling & Position

Customize caption appearance and positioning for optimal viewing.

Position

Standard Positions

  • Bottom Center (default, recommended)
  • Top Center (when bottom obscured)
  • Bottom Left/Right (dual language)
  • Custom (advanced)

Changing Position

  1. Select caption(s)
  2. Click Position button
  3. Choose from presets or custom
  4. Preview changes

Position Guidelines

  • Bottom: Standard for most content
  • Top: When lower third graphics present
  • Sides: Dual language or speaker differentiation

Text Styling

Font

Recommended fonts:

  • Arial (most compatible)
  • Roboto (modern, clean)
  • Helvetica (classic)
  • Verdana (highly readable)

Avoid decorative or script fonts.

Size

  • Small: Mobile devices
  • Medium: Standard (recommended)
  • Large: Accessibility

Color

Standard: White text

Alternatives:

  • Yellow: High contrast
  • Cyan: Technical content
  • Custom: Brand colors (use sparingly)

Background

Options:

  • None: Clean, transparent
  • Black box: High contrast (recommended)
  • Semi-transparent: Balance clarity/aesthetics

Outline/Shadow

  • Black outline: Improves readability
  • Drop shadow: Subtle depth
  • None: Clean look (use with background)

Color Coding

Assign colors to speakers:
