Manage Glossary Terms
View, edit, download, and delete your glossaries from the Glossaries page. Each glossary lists its name, language pair, entry count, status, and creation date. Click a glossary name to open its details, including the full list of term pairs.
Edit a glossary
Click the Edit action on a glossary to change its name, description, or active status.
The source language, target language, and term pairs cannot be changed after creation. To update the terms, download the glossary, edit the CSV, and create a new glossary (see Update the terms).
Active vs inactive
Only active glossaries are applied during translation. Set a glossary to inactive to keep it without using it, for example to archive an old version or hold a glossary you are still testing. You can reactivate it at any time.
Download a glossary
Click the Download action (or the download button on the details page) to export all term pairs as a CSV file named [glossary_name]_glossary.csv:
source_term,target_term
PostgreSQL,PostgreSQL
myocardial infarction,hartinfarct
API,API
Use the downloaded file to back up terms, share them with your team, or edit them for a new glossary version.
Update the terms
Because term entries are linked to the DeepL or Google translation service, they cannot be edited directly. To change them:
- Download the current glossary as CSV.
- Edit the CSV in an external tool.
- Create a new glossary with the updated CSV.
- Deactivate or delete the old glossary.
Delete a glossary
Click the Delete action and confirm. Deletion is permanent and removes the glossary and all its entries.
