User Preferences

Customize your Scriptix experience with themes, export templates, and keyboard shortcuts. Export templates and keyboard shortcuts are managed from the Profile page.

Theme​

Use the theme toggle (sun/moon icon) in the navigation to switch between light and dark mode. Your choice is saved in the browser and persists across sessions on that device.

Export templates​

Export templates customize how documents are exported. There are two types:

  • Export template: a DOCX file that defines the formatting applied when exporting transcripts. Requires both a DOCX template and an example PDF.
  • Summarization: a custom AI prompt used to generate summaries from transcripts. Requires only a name and prompt.

Templates are shared across your organization.

Add a template​

  1. Go to Profile and open Account Personalization.
  2. Click Add Template.
  3. Enter a name and choose a type.
  4. For a summarization template, enter a prompt (or leave it empty to use the default). For an export template, upload the DOCX and example PDF.
  5. Click Save Template.

Manage templates​

Each template card lets you download the DOCX or PDF file, edit the template (ORGADMIN role only), or delete it. If a downloaded file is archived, it may take a few minutes to become available again while it is restored.

Use a template​

When exporting a document from the transcript or caption editor, choose a template from the export dialog to apply its formatting or generate an AI summary.

Keyboard shortcuts​

Add custom keyboard shortcuts for the transcript editor from Profile > Keymap Settings.

Add a shortcut​

  1. Click Add Keymap.
  2. In the Key field, press your key combination (up to three keys, using Ctrl, Shift, Alt, or Cmd), or type it manually.
  3. Enter a value (the function the shortcut triggers).
  4. Click Create.

To remove a shortcut, click Delete on its card.

Interface languages​

The interface is available in English, Dutch, French, and German. The language is detected from your browser settings, and falls back to English.

Reseller branding​

If your organization is managed by a reseller, its logo and brand color are applied automatically across the interface. Your personal theme preference still applies.
